Broccoli Cheese Balls Recipe with additional ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 heaping cups broccoli florets, fresh
3 eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1 vegetable or canola oil
2 1/4 cups panko crumbs
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 cup colby cheese
4 oz velveeta
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix together the steamed broccoli, cheddar cheese, colby cheese, velveeta, flour, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
In another bowl, mix together the panko crumbs.
Shape the broccoli mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
Dip each ball into the beaten eggs and then coat with the panko crumbs.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Fry the balls until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Place the fried balls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes or until heated through.
Serve hot with a dipping sauce of your choice. Enjoy!
