Banana Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp baking powder

1 ripe banana, mashed

1 ripe banana, sliced (for topping)

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Batter:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

In a bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix well.

Sift in flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined. Fold in the mashed banana and chocolate chips (if using).

2. Bake the Brownies:

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Smooth the top with a spatula. Arrange banana slices on top.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

3. Cool and Serve:

Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares. Enjoy these fudgy delights!
