Ingredients:
4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
2 cups heavy cream
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
2 tablespoons butter
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
1 teaspoon dried herbs (parsley or thyme)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Prepare the potatoes: Peel and slice them thinly for even cooking.
Make the cream mixture: In a bowl, mix the cream, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs.
Layer the dish: Grease a baking dish with butter, then arrange a layer of potatoes. Pour some cream mixture over it and sprinkle cheese. Repeat the layers.
Top it off: Finish with a generous layer of cheese on top.
Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for another 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Serve: Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
